Quick Fact: How do you clean/disinfect your extra-oral camera?

This question was submitted by a general dentists: How do you clean/disinfect your Canon G12 extra-oral camera?

Dr. Jason Goodchild provided this quick initial response

Rubbing alcohol or lens cleaning liquid would be acceptable. Best to use a microfiber cloth.

It is recommended to get a filter adapter and a UV filter. This will protect the lens and eliminate the need to touch the lens again. The UV filters can be cleaned more easily and if they get ruined, they can be inexpensively replaced.
