Formocresol is still recommended for use for primary tooth pulpotomy and is the standard against which all other medicaments are compared. Go to: American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Reference Manual. Guideline on pulp therapy for primary and immature permanent teeth. Pediatr Dent. 2012; 34(6) at http://www.aapd.org and you will find this guideline under the header Policies and Guidelines.
