CDA Oasis Conversations: Improving Oral Health in the Developing Countries with Dr. Saida Rasul

Saida Rasul copy 2Dr. Saida Rasul, dentist and community volunteer, spoke with Dr. Suham Alexander about different initiatives undertaken to improve oral health in developing countries.

 

Dr. Saida Rasul is a health professional and community volunteer focused on the improvement of the lives of the less fortunate in society.  She achieves this through her work in education at several levels from policy advocacy to grass roots implementation of programs. 

Dr. Rasul was appointed to the Board of Governors of Simon Fraser University in 2002 as an Order in Council Member. Dr. Rasul has been involved at the board level in several organizations, such as Middlesex School in Massachusetts, York House School in British Columbia and Outward Bound in Canada.

Dr. Rasul has worked tirelessly to support educational institutions, health institutions and community service organizations across Canada and internationally. Her belief that a robust civil society is essential to strong communities has had a deep impact on the organizations and communities with which she has worked.
