I have been in this situation many times as a practice manager.
The best solution is to engage the dental team one on one prior to beginning the role as manager and perform a S w o t with them side by side as partners. Writing down the offices strengths , weaknesses, opportunities and threats as a team will allow for input from the team prior to making changes and allows them to engage in the changes along with you. This is a softer gentler approach and will result in an easier transition.
